Sixth Form students inspired by art workshops

Year 12 and Year 13 Creative Arts students recently had the opportunity to take part in art workshops at The Old Waterworks, Southend.

Our students worked with practicing artist Philippa Stewart, experimenting with processes such as dry point, monoprinting, & mixed media drawing techniques.

“I had an amazing time at the old waterworks, this is one of the best experiences I've ever had and I really wish I could have stayed longer. I learned so much and it’s so inspiring, it has taught me you can use any material to make something so amazing. If I ever have the chance to go back I wouldn't even think twice about it.” Millie.P

“I experienced new approaches to art and photography to help progress and improve my portfolio. This was a great experience to help think about all the ways art can be shown and improved upon by trying new experiences and techniques.” Alex.W

“I enjoyed the workshop, and I enjoyed the drawing and printing it's very chilled. I'll probably use the techniques I have learned in the future.” Naomi.S
