Key Stage 4 Learning

Home Learning

Please find resources to support students when they are learning at home, including curriculum plans and links to online platforms.

If you have any queries about how to support your child at home, please do email remotelearning@basildonacademies.org.uk

Out-of-hours learning opportunities are important for our students so they can explore subjects at their own pace and on their own schedule, allowing for deeper understanding.

We will provide access to diverse materials (videos, articles, online courses) which enriches our students' learning experience.

Out-of-hours learning encourages students to take ownership of their education, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills and helps students learn to balance academic responsibilities with other activities, preparing them for future studies and careers.

Out-of-hours activities can reinforce concepts taught in school, leading to better retention and understanding and our students can focus on areas where they need improvement, helping to close learning gaps. Students can also pursue topics they are passionate about, increasing their motivation and engagement. Activities outside of the traditional curriculum can allow for creative exploration, making learning more enjoyable. At the Academies, we aim to instill a love for learning that extends beyond formal education, equipping students for lifelong success.
