Students Explore Future Opportunities at Basildon Skills Show

Year 11 and Sixth Form students recently had the opportunity to attend the Basildon Skills Show, an event designed to help them explore various career paths, training opportunities, and further education options.

The event featured stalls from a range of universities, colleges and organisations such as Essex County Council, Ford, Leonardo, MotorAid and the University of Essex.

Students engaged with representatives from the organisations, gaining valuable insights into their future options. They asked questions about potential career paths, sought advice on training opportunities, and explored the possibilities of higher education.

“The event was really helpful because there were so many opportunities for us to explore. I think the Skills Show should be held more often.” Narain.J – Year 11

“This has been very useful. I have received lots of information regarding apprenticeships and universities.” Ali.H – Year 12

“The event exposed me to different career paths and provided informative steps to take.” David.E – Year 13
