Key Stage 4 Learning

Year 10 Work Experience 2025

Parent/Carer Reminder March 14th 2025

The deadline for Year 10 students to make their work experience selections—if they have not yet secured their own placement or chosen through the BEP Webview platform—is Friday, 21st March.

To have the best chance of securing one of their selected placements, students must choose six options and be prepared to attend any of them. Students should note that other schools are also accessing the BEP Webview platform for the same dates, meaning some placements will be in the Redbridge and Waltham Forest areas. While students can select any placement, they must ensure they can travel to the location. A pop-up message will prompt them to check the postcode and journey before confirming each selection. They can also narrow their search by area on the system.

You can access the BEP Portal here: Veryan Webview - Student Log In

Work Experience - Information for Parents/Carers

Work Experience (WEX) Information for Parents

As part of the upcoming Work Experience (WEX) program, we would like to remind parents of the following key details to ensure a smooth process for all students:

  1. Form Submission: Please ensure that your child submits their Work Experience forms as soon as possible. These forms should be handed in at the school's reception. Once submitted, the forms will be scanned and sent to the relevant team.

  2. Deadline and Placements: After the deadline, it may not be possible to guarantee a Work Experience placement. This is because we need adequate time to carry out any necessary pre-placement visits.

  3. Employers Liability Insurance (ELI): It is crucial that all employers or providers offering Work Experience placements hold Employers Liability Insurance (ELI). Without this, the placement cannot be approved. While there are rare exceptions, the vast majority of employers must have ELI in place.

  4. Completing the Form: Please remind your child to complete all sections of the form, especially the dates for their Work Experience. This helps us to clearly distinguish between students attending in Week 1 and Week 2, which simplifies the administrative process.

  5. Finding Placements: Students who do not secure their own placement will have the option to choose from available jobs when the WebView system goes live on 7th March. They will have two weeks to log in and select up to six preferred jobs for their Work Experience.

The PIN required to access WebView will be issued to students from the week beginning 3rd March 2025

  6. Job Allocation: The first round of job allocations will take place on 21st March. Please note that this date is fixed, as multiple schools will be participating during the same period.

  7. Re-Choosing Placements: Not all students may receive one of their six chosen placements. In such cases, they will need to select new options. As the allocation process progresses, fewer job choices will be available, so it is beneficial for students to submit their preferences early to increase their chances of securing one of their preferred placements.

Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a successful Work Experience program for all students.
