Teacher of Mathematics with Leadership opportunities

Due to an increase in student numbers, we wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Mathematics with Leadership Opportunities, to join our successful, split-site academy as part of a supportive team. 

Salary £32,189 — £49,274 (M1 - AL3 Academy Qualified Teachers Scale) 

Our academy operates across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5. This appointed candidate will begin their BA career at the academy that best suits their skill set and the needs of the students. 

The post is open to teachers of all levels of experience, and we welcome applications from ECTs.

The appointed Mathematics Teacher will begin their BA career at the academy site best suited to their skill set. We are able to offer opportunities to teach a wide range of abilities in KS3, KS4 (GCSE Maths / GCSE Statistics) and KS5 (Functional Skills / ALevel Maths/ ALevel Further Maths).  We are able to offer further opportunities within leadership for roles including Year Lead, EBACC Lead and Raising Standards Leader.

There is an open-door culture that encourages teachers to 'drop in' on colleagues, therefore promoting good practice within the schools. We are committed to SSAT Embedding Formative Assessment CPD programme for the next two years, as well as encouraging staff to further their expertise and leadership through both internal and external programmes, including the full suite of NPQ courses. We have a very strong record of developing staff from ITT to Headship.  We have an excellent track record of providing promotion and responsibility opportunities to staff that aspire to leadership.
