Afolabi participated in a prize draw at the event by answering questions about the various stalls on display.

The Basildon Skills Show is an annual event designed to help students explore a range of career paths, training opportunities, and further education options. Afolabi’s efforts were rewarded with a £10 Amazon voucher, presented by Cllr. Jessica Power, who visited the school especially to present the prize.
